Fabric Story — Thorpe Hill
Thorpe Hill is a smaller-scale interpretation of Liberty’s much-loved classic Thorpe, bringing a timeless floral into a softer and more delicate rhythm.
Originally created in 1968, the richly detailed print was later selected for Liberty’s very first Classics Collection in 1979, becoming one of the house’s most enduring floral favourites.
Dense with tiny blossoms and intricate detail, the design feels abundant without becoming overwhelming — quietly expressive, soft, and beautifully balanced.
Rather than demanding attention, Thorpe Hill carries the feeling of a small English garden gently unfolding over time: layered, familiar, and quietly comforting.
At Bōlife, we were especially drawn to its feeling of quiet familiarity and timeless comfort.
It felt like the sort of pattern that becomes more loved through everyday use — familiar in the gentlest way, never overwhelming, and always comforting to return to.
Earphones often accompany life’s quieter rituals — commuting, long walks, travelling, or evenings spent listening to favourite music.
When transformed into our handmade fabric AirPods case, we imagined Thorpe Hill as a tiny garden carried close — something that protects while quietly bringing softness, calm, and lasting beauty into everyday life.
