Fabric Story — Paysanne Blossom
Paysanne Blossom was originally created for Liberty in 1938, bringing together juicy strawberries and delicate blooms in a print that quietly celebrates the warmth and abundance of summer.
Designed to evoke the golden days that mark the beginning of the season, the pattern captures a feeling of flowers opening, fruit ripening, sunlight lingering, and life gently unfolding.
Scattered strawberries weave through soft florals, adding a sense of sweetness and quiet joy to the botanical composition — playful without feeling overly precious.
Part of Liberty’s Spring/Summer 2024 Red Story, the print also draws upon the symbolism of red — a colour associated for centuries with vitality, love, warmth, and life itself. Found in some of humanity’s earliest artistic expressions, red has long represented emotion, energy, and renewal.
At Bōlife, we were drawn to the warmth of this design.
It reminded us of sunlit afternoons, ripening fruit, blooming gardens, and the small moments of happiness that quietly brighten everyday life.
When transformed into our handmade fabric phone cases (Phone Clothes) and AirPods cases, we imagined Paysanne Blossom as something gently uplifting — everyday companions carrying a little softness, colour, and the feeling of summer close at hand.
