About Case
A slim fabric-covered phone case designed for everyday use, combining a soft textile finish with a refined metal frame and full-wrap protection. It offers a comfortable hand feel while keeping the overall profile light, clean and easy to hold.
The case is MagSafe compatible, allowing it to work with MagSafe chargers, magnetic wallets, car mounts and other magnetic accessories. Its full-cover design helps protect the edges of your phone, while the metal frame adds structure and durability without making the case feel bulky.
The fabric surface has been specially treated for everyday water resistance and stain resistance, helping it handle light splashes, dust and daily contact. However, as this is still a fabric product, it naturally retains the characteristics of textile materials. Over time, the surface may show subtle signs of wear, colour changes or natural ageing, which are normal features of fabric-based products.
Fabric Story — Big Smoke
Big Smoke celebrates graphic artist MacDonald Gill’s charming and witty illustrated guide to London, originally published in 1914.
Inspired by Gill’s delightfully detailed cartographic vision of the capital, the design reimagines London landmarks through humour, curiosity, and storytelling — transforming the city map into something playful, richly layered, and full of character.
The title itself nods to London’s long-standing nickname, “The Big Smoke”, once used to describe the city’s dense industrial skyline and lively urban rhythm.
To us, the print feels less like a map and more like a pocket-sized adventure through old London — detailed, slightly eccentric, and endlessly enjoyable to revisit.
At Bōlife, we were drawn to its sense of curiosity and quiet humour.
It reminded us of folded city maps tucked into pockets, illustrated travel books, and the joy of wandering unfamiliar streets without rushing.
When transformed into our handmade fabric phone cases (Phone Clothes) and MagSafe card holders, we imagined Big Smoke as a small everyday companion — something practical, tactile, and quietly carrying a sense of place, memory, and adventure.
